The Talented Athlete Programme is for Key Stage 4 students (14-16yrs) across Crawley schools.

Set up in 2005, TAP is a free programme to provide support and opportunity to Gifted and Talented PE students.  Since TAP began, we have worked closely with the Sports Science team based at Chelsea School, University of Brighton and attend sessions in Eastbourne each year.

TAP aims to:

ü      Continually develop our ELITE young performers from Crawley schools.

ü      Ensure there is targeted provision for PE G&T students and has a positive holistic effect, including academic.

ü     Collaborate and share good practice between the Crawley School Sport Partnership, schools, the local clubs and other key stakeholders.

Freedom Leisure has recognised our work with our G&T students and is kindly supporting the programme by giving us the use of the fantastic facilities at K2.

Each year, Crawley Secondary schools put forward their Gifted & Talented Yr10 students. These students then go through a taster session and selection process before being invited to attend 5 TAP days throughout the year (please see our calendar).
